Wairere Power Station is located downstream of Mokauiti Power Station on the Mokau River, in the Waikato Region. The head at Wairere is 19.6m.
Passive fish passage is in place across both the Wairere and Mokauiti schemes, helping native fish make their way up and down the river past hydro infrastructure.
