Fibre Broadband

Think of Fibre broadband as the VIP pass to the internet. It uses advanced fibre optic cables to deliver internet straight to your home. It’s a great option for households with medium to heavy internet usage, whether you’re working remotely, streaming back-to-back episodes of your favourite show, or juggling multiple devices at once.

Previously where you’d need to get fibre cables installed in your street by a local fibre company like Chorus, most streets have it all ready to go.

Contact’s Fibre broadband plans

Going from less to more expensive, Contact’s Fibre broadband plans include:

  • Lite Fibre – Perfect for small or solo households who only need light internet usage.
  • Fast Fibre – A reliable mid-speed solution, perfect for small to large households with moderate internet usage.
  • Max Fibre – A high-speed solution, designed for large homes with multiple devices, heavy internet users, or online gaming fanatics.

Both plans include unlimited data, so you can scroll, stream and game to your heart’s content without worrying about hitting a cap. Modem and postage charges may apply.

Things to Consider Before You Choose Your Plan

Not sure which Fibre broadband plan suits you best? Here are a few things to think about:

  • Internet Usage: How many people are in your household, and what do you use the internet for? If you’re regularly streaming high-quality video, online gaming, working remotely or have lots of devices connected at once, you might want to consider a higher-speed Fibre plan. For more everyday internet use, a lower-speed option could be all you need.
  • Your household: Think about how many people are likely to be online at the same time. A household with multiple people streaming, gaming, video calling or working from home may need more speed than a household with just one or two people using the internet for everyday browsing.
  • Availability: Fibre isn’t available everywhere (yet). Use the Chorus network’s handy tool to check if Fibre is available at your address. In specific regions, you’ll also find providers like Northpower Fibre (Whangarei), Tuatahi Fibre (Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki), and Enable Fibre (Christchurch).
